Role Objective:

To oversee the day-to-day operations of the Business Development floor by managing team performance, attendance, and productivity; ensuring adherence to SOPs and operational policies; driving revenue and quality outcomes through structured monitoring, reporting, and corrective action plans; and supporting continuous improvement through coaching, performance reviews, strategy implementation, and learning & development initiatives.

The Associate Manager acts as the operational backbone for the BD function, ensuring consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience: 4–7 years in Business development/Inside Sales/Sales
    Operations/Team Management
  • Preferred Background: B2B SaaS, Data, Marketing, or Demand Generation
    environments
  • Education: Graduate or Postgraduate (MBA Preferred)
  • Skillset:
    • Proven team management and training experience
    • Process-driven with attention to detail
    • Empathetic yet firm leadership style
    • Excellent communication and motivational skills
    • Strong analytical and reporting ability (Excel, CRM tools)

Key Responsibilities

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Oversee the reporting and operational discipline of Team Coordinators (TCs) and Team Leads (TLs).
  • Monitor and manage floor attendance, breaks, and productive hours across the
    Business Development department.
  • Identify bottom-quartile performers and implement structured corrective action
    plans in coordination with TCs and TLs.
  • Maintain and analyze floor performance reports across sales, QA, and CI metrics,
    and derive actionable improvement plans.
  • Support the implementation of new sales and operational strategies in coordination
    with SMEs, TCs, TLs, and the Sales Manager
  • Facilitate cross-department coordination to ensure smooth execution of sales and
    fulfilments processes.
  • Actively participate in daily huddles and drive the implementation of action items and strategies discussed.
  • Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, compliance guidelines, and operational policies
    across the floor.
  • Identify defaulters and performance gaps using available reports and implement
    targeted action plans.
  • Coordinate and facilitate weekly L&D (Learning & Development) sessions based on
    performance gaps and QA feedback.
  • Oversee on-the-job training (OJT) and performance tracking of new joiners.
  • Ensure QA feedback is translated into actionable improvements at the team and individual levels.
  • Conduct daily and weekly performance reviews with TCs, TLs, and teams.
  • Prepare and submit a weekly performance report to the Sales Manager, highlighting
    key metrics, issues, and action plans.
  • Identify gaps in conversion, communication, or process adherence and derive action items for improvement.
  • Conduct regular skill enhancement sessions (weekly/monthly)
  • Ensure strict adherence to internal SOPs, QA standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation of all escalations, reviews, and interventions.
